What is a dedicated business IBAN account?

An international bank account number (IBAN) gives you a way to receive cross-border payments. With a dedicated IBAN account, you have an account that’s linked directly to your business for a more secure and professional approach. Unlike a virtual IBAN account for business purposes, it is linked to your business account. It makes compliance and auditing smoother. It also means that you get faster payments from your EUR IBAN account straight into your multi-currency account. Since the IBAN account is linked only to your business, it adds a more professional touch to the companies you deal with. It is particularly true when it comes to international payments, which you want to make easy for your clients and partners.

Open an account with Genome and complete the verification process. You’ll be allocated a dedicated IBAN account to allow customer funds to be received in your company name from cross-border transactions.

Yes, each IBAN is unique. They are made up of a country code, followed by check digits, and then the branch code and account number. This means that you receive international payments to a number that only applies to your company account.

If you need to receive payments, give your dedicated IBAN to the person who wants to send money to your company. They then need to give that IBAN number to their bank or enter it into their banking app to send money to your account.

Your normal account number doesn’t include a country code to allow international transactions. It means that the IBAN is longer, with the country code at the start.
