AML/Compliance Specialist

Genome is a fully digital financial platform that delivers everything users expect from traditional banking, faster, safer, and online. We are a Lithuania-based Electronic Money Institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania, serving both businesses and individuals, primarily across the EU and beyond.

Our platform offers a wide range of services, including dedicated IBAN accounts, payment processing, currency exchange, and local and international transfers (SEPA and SWIFT). Clients can manage their finances through a smart, intuitive dashboard available on desktops and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Genome is looking for an AML/Compliance Specialist!

• Conduct both real-time reviews (transaction screening) and retrospective evaluations (transaction monitoring) of client transactions to spot potential risks.
• Independently collect, evaluate, and record the necessary data for ongoing client due diligence. You'll communicate directly with clients to request, verify, and assess additional documentation.
• Lead internal investigations into unusual client activities, document your findings systematically, and write clear conclusions and recommendations.
• Prepare and report Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the local Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
• Handle official communication and correspondence with law enforcement agencies and other external institutions.

• You bring 2+ years of hands-on experience in transaction monitoring and screening.
• You have a solid foundational understanding of financial crimes—including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions evasion.
• You possess a basic knowledge of AML legislation relevant to Lithuanian Financial Market Participants (FMPs).
• You are fluent in both spoken and written Lithuanian and English, with the ability to handle formal business correspondence in both languages.
• Holding professional certifications like ACAMS or ICA is considered a strong advantage (but don't let a lack of one stop you from applying if you have the experience!).

Compensation

Salary range: €2,300-2,650 gross monthly*

*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience.
